The Shift Methodology

Shift Worldwide has developed the Shift Methodology that enables leaders to quickly assess and dramatically increase the likelihood of success in executing any strategic initiative.

Gear Shift

SECOND GEAR

Second Gear is characterized by a moderate movement forward in one direction.  “What to do” about a specific issue has been decided and a core group of people may be on board or (if shifting down from Third Gear) remain confident of the approach and the initiative, but not enough people are “sold” on the initiative to move it forward faster.

If in Second Gear, you are likely in debate over whom the change in direction will affect.  Whether a group of people is unaware of the initiative, the problem or have given up on an approach, there remains a core set of leaders that are wondering: “How do we get everyone (back) on board?”

Shift Worldwide’s approach to Facilitation, Training and Coaching is recommended to move out of Second Gear.  Facilitation will help the core team decide upon, agree and commit to the best approach to get people (back) on board.  Training for members of the core group or the leadership team will give them skills to help build buy-in.  Coaching will provide the leader of the initiative with the support and guidance needed to navigate complex buy-in issues, both through the organization and within the leadership team.
