The Shift Methodology

Shift Worldwide has developed the Shift Methodology that enables leaders to quickly assess and dramatically increase the likelihood of success in executing any strategic initiative.

Gear Shift

NEUTRAL

Neutral Gear is characterized by lack of energy.  You may be stopped, coasting, or transitioning from one gear to another; the organization isn’t totally engaged.

If your organization is stopped, it’s likely due to powerful external conditions that require leadership to rethink their strategies and tactics.  It could also be due to strong, opposite internal forces that are preventing movement in one direction.

If coasting, your organization has been going in a direction, but may benefit from putting renewed energy towards it.

If transitioning from one gear to another, Neutral could be a good time for reflection and reestablishing commitment to the gear in which the organization will soon be engaging.

Shift Worldwide’s approach to Research and Facilitation are recommended to move out of Neutral.  Research will give leadership teams a baseline of data from which to make decisions that will give the organization purpose and direction.  Facilitation will help the leadership team decide upon, agree and commit to the best path forward.
